Emache's P.E. Program starts on Wed. September 12th from 1:30 to 3:00 pm, at Ash Creek Park in Azle (behind the Azle Library). The first PE meeting we'll be asking for volunteers to help coach throughout the year.

P.E. is for Emache members only. We'll have applications available in case new families are interested in joining the group then. The fee for P.E. per child is $5 per year, $20 max. per family. If you have any questions concerning PE, please call Johnnie Terry at 817.444.4320 (Tues. through Sat.)

Parent Guidelines for EMACHE Physical Education Program

It is very important that you read this carefully and go over the list with your children.

1.     Don’t drop the children off and leave the park. A guardian for your child must always be present.

2.     Be on time. In general, all parents are expected to help at P.E. We’ll probably need one or two ladies to help out with each age group every week.

3.     Children should wear appropriate shoes and clothing. Tennis shoes are a must. A cap is recommended during the hot months. No jewelry, except watches.

4.     Full participation is required, unless child is sick.

5.     Bring a water bottle for water breaks. Put your child’s name on the water bottle. The children need to drink before, during and after exercising.

6.     No horseplay allowed.

7.     P.E. discipline will be applied for the following actions: poor sportsmanship, disrespect, name-calling, disrespect to property and the like. After the first offense, coach will verbally correct the child. After the second offense, child will be sent to parent. After the third offense, child will be put out of P.E. for the rest of the day.

8.     Repeated disciplinary offenses will result in barring child from P.E. for the rest of the year.

9.     Clothing: Attire has been a problem from time to time. Please encourage your children to be respectful in the way they dress. If you are unsure of any of these guidelines, please feel free to contact the PE Coordinator privately.

a.     No skin-tight shirts and shorts.

b.     No shorts that are “too short” (i.e. short “runner” shorts).

c.      No slogans that can be interpreted to be inappropriate.

d.     No sleeveless shirts for girls.

10.                        P.E. participants must be EMACHE members.

Note: Please check your email on Wednesday mornings. Sometimes we have to cancel even if the weather is good.
